Junior Frontend/UI Developer

We are currently accepting resumes for a Junior front-end developer to join our IT team. You will be responsible for helping build new features and updates for the client-side of our web applications. You will help translate our customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications. Currently, our product is utilizing React.js and React Native. We expect you to be a tech-savvy professional, who enjoys the latest development tools and aspires to combine usability with visual design. Ultimately, you should be able to help create and maintain a functional and attractive digital environment for our company, ensuring a great user experience. Position consists of extensive collaboration with other team members and requires at least 3 days a week in the Newark, OH development office with the team.

Responsibilities

• Work extensively with current program written with the utilization of React.js and React Native

• Work with additional languages and frameworks such as: HTML, JavaScript, and node.js to create user-friendly web functions

• Maintain and improve react.js web application

• Maintain and improve react native mobile application

• Optimize applications for maximum speed

• Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability

• Maintain records and help with project spec requirements within Azure DevOps

• Work within our CI/CD policies and pipelines

• Work with entire team to design new features

• Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting

• Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency

• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies

Skills

• Experience in Front-end development with React.js and/or React Native

• Hands on experience with markup languages

• Experience with JavaScript, CSS and jQuery, git, node.js, and NoSql DB

• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging

• Basic understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)

• Understanding of layout aesthetics

• Knowledge of SEO principles

• Familiarity with software like Figma, Photoshop, Azure DevOps

• An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent analytical and multitasking skills

• Associate degree or higher in Computer Science or relevant field

Beneficial Skills (not required)

• Basic knowledge of Azure backend services

• Basic knowledge of MongoDB

• Experience with 3rd party integrations such as Google Auth, Facebook Auth, Apple Auth, Google Calendar API, Outlook API (Microsoft graph). (Office365 API), CalDAV API (Apple icloud calendar), iCAL readers
